Not all bikes are the same when it comes to that. Some bikes actually have a "wet" stator where it's in the oil so a gasket is needed. Oil is generally non conductive. Ever see a computer with the motherboard submerged in a tub of mineral oil and being cooled with an air conditioner? Look it up...cool (no pun intended) to see actually..shredex wrote:
