That's right guys, I'm finally and officially announcing that my 92 600 EXUP project is up for sale.
Bike has 36.xxx miles and the engine still runs pretty strong for a bike with that many miles. I've only put 1400 miles on it during the 2 years I've had it. Has a clean California title (in hand). I had intentions of restoring it but just kind of lost interest in it and just replaced a few needed parts and rode it the way it is.
The stator, pick up coil, and ignition coils have been replaced. The fork seals were done back in December. I've replaced the EXUP servo and rebuilt the valve in the header. That is now functioning correctly and the bike sounds sweet when you open it up. I've replaced the VR with a 2000 YZF600 and that works fine. I replaced the chain and sprockets about 3 months ago. The chain is a DID O Ring 530 106 link-steel sprockets (15 tooth front, 45 rear) with a rivet type master link. The rear tire is a Bridgestone Battle Axe Bt 014 that only has maybe 1600 miles on it. The clutch and tranny are still good in all gears and still pulls pretty good. I have a feeling the carbs are jetted with a stage 1 kit but I can't verify it because I've never gone through them.
Keep in mind I bought this bike as sort of a resto-mod project so there are a couple things that don't work and I just have not gotten around to fixing. The temp gauge doesn't work but the bike has never run hot or over heated on me. Also, the brake light doesn't come on when you pull on the handle or step on the back brake (although the running light part of that works fine). This is probably the result of the bad VR and I have a complete replacement wiring harness for it that I just have not taken the time to put in. It probably needs the valves at least checked and could use a new front tire. The throttle also does not snap back on it's own. It doesn't stick-just doesn't snap. I've ridden like this the whole time I've had it with no issues. So what's the price? Asking $1000 for it and all the stuff I collected for the rebuild.
Shoot me a PM if interested. I am also listing this locally as well. Need it sold ASAP so I can get started on my 94 FZR 1000 Project.
