'90 FZR400 and '89 FZR400/600

Post by eelkram »

I'm selling my two FZR's. The description of the first is a 1990 FZR400 (non-exup). It has a little bit of oxidation but runs well enough. The valves were adjusted two years ago, but we only put about 100 miles on it since the adjustment. I have all the fairings, but they're off the bike right now. The bike was also professionally lowered and my wife used it to learn how to ride around in a parking lot. That said, it's been literally laid down a few times (she'd lose her balance while standing still until we lowered it). Runs fine but it's not all that pretty.

The second bike I have is an 89 FZR400/600. It was a track bike that I picked up and put the lights, gauges, tail fairing, and kick-stand back on. Although, it's still safety wired and is easily put back into track form. This has lots of good stuff and quite a pedigree:
This bike was raced in AFM 450 Production by Dennis Presiloski for one and half seasons. The previous owner (PO) bought it from him and did eight race weekends between 1998 and 2000. PO had the bottom end of the 400cc engine rebuilt at Factory Pro in San Rafael in the the Fall of 1989. The PO put a 600 engine in 2007 in attempt to build a fun track day bike.
- This bike has the following:
Vortex Clip-ons
Woodcraft rearsets
Fox Shock
Stock forks tuned by Lindeman Engineering.
Stock 3.0 x 17.0 front wheel. Stock 4.0 x 18.0 rear wheel
spare 400 motor listed above

There's also a few boxes of spare parts that come with the bike as well as a 17" wheel conversion from a 93 CBR. I prefer to sell everything as a package, but I will entertain offers for the individual bikes.

Why am I selling? Because I hurt my back and need a more upright bike, and my wife won't let me get another one until these are gone and the garage is cleaned out.

I'm asking $2800 for both bikes and all the spares, two stands, etc. I'm located just south of San Francisco.

Pics mainly of the 1990 (the last picture is of the FZR400/600):

Thanks

Thanks all for checking in. I sold the '90.

I still have the 400/600 and it's titled and currently registered. Comes with a spare motor and all the rest of the parts. How about $1500 for everything?
