The great steering stem debate........

Hi,
over on Customfighters there is a"discussion" about steering stems, which we had back in 2010 & 2011 using just a long bolt or OR a threaded rod to hold the two sections of the steering head together.
I found this picture from an old English made bike called a "GREEVES" :-
It just proves the steering stem mod is not new and has been around for more than half a century and has been used by the Glitteratti of bike making ever since
