Hello all

bought some crash bobbins off ebay apparently they fit ALL FZR400's
But... NOT MINE!
I only seem to have 1 pleace on the frame they can bolt to (engine mounts below the radiator)
but that seems like a silly place because if my bike went down they wouldnt do anything...
Also the impact washer wouldnt fit on that part any way,
my bike is streetfightered so I dont have the worry of panels ect...

the genesis is always that bit different, the 3en1 has a moutning hole on the frame for fairings, does the genesis have the same? think they are m6 bolts, that's where ive seen them mounted before. pics would help!

The other point to ponder is that fairing mounting points are rarely rugged enough to absorb the forces of a crash.

Just where i'd seen them, i personally wouldnt bother, if they go down and hit something it's easy to bend the frame at those points, seen that too! investing in more sturdy engine cases would be where i put my money. The bolt in ones are rerely good at their job from what i've seen, the only ones ive seen that worked were ones that had a brace that ran across the frame and supporte themselves rather than rely on the frame for strength.
