Hey, im quite new to this, anyway without further adoo,

Ive just bought a yamaha fzr 400 and having taken the front forks apart & ordering parts (oil seals, dust caps etc.) i seem to be missing the inner tube bush that slides over the bottom of it.
i got all the other parts from a yamaha dealer & they couldnt find the part that i was talking about, i have got the guide bush which sits under the oil seal washer in the bottom fork.

anyway just wondering if anyone had a clue about where i could get the bush for the inner tube from, ive put this pic in to show where the part isnt listed to give anyone a better idea, thanks.[/img]

fowlers in bristol should be able to get them, they'll want your frame number before they sell you anything, so be prepared!
not sure about wemoto.

Shep,
Help out this old memory of mine please.
The part you indicate is/was white nylon/teflon/some kinda plastic ring with split in it that funs at an angle rather than straight across the width?
OR
a dull grey metal ring, again it is Split?

I remember back in the VERY late 80's I was tasked with rebuilding a crashed front end and this ring was in about 5 pieces Talking to Yamaha Tech people at South American regional Yamaha HQ I got sorry these are "mated" items for the fork leg, the problem was the fork leg from Japan HQ did not come with one.

The end of the tale is I had to make a pair from scratch via trial & error to get the slide fit so there was "support" and the least amount of "stiction" I seem to remember it was just about 3 thou but I could be way off since my memory is not backed up by any notes of the work done at the time

hey george, yeah its the grey coloured metal one with the split down the middle which wears to a copper colour on the inside when theyre used.
If the case is that i cant get them from yamaha i could see whether honda have anything close as ive got a cbf 500 & theyre exactly the same fork make up but i just need to match the diameters then

Just found out that the inner tube/stansion bush comes with a new tube when you order one and isnt a seperate part, which is quite ridiculous!
