I have the chance to sell my 92 600 fizzer and buy a 94 cbr that is in as good or better condition. Doesanyone know how the two compare performance wise?

Personally I wouldnt drop a 92 FZR for a 94 CBR. Maybe a next gen CBR late 90s, but Im partial to the FZR. The CBR will prob have a little more power, I dont really know, but I wouldnt trade the FZR for anything in the early-mid90s era. It would take more than small changes in power and handling for me give it up, especially given how modifiable it is. But thats me.

Are we talking a CBR F2? Or a 900rr? I'd do it for a 900rr. Or better yet you can sell something else and have them both. F2 isn't that much better than an FZR. The FZR will handle better that's for sure and it's lighter from what I remember reading. If I were you I'd RIDE the honda first before you make any final decisions. You might find that you don't like the way it rides compared to the FZR. my2cents

The only really big advantage of the CBR over the FZR is the 17" rear rim that is already on the CBR. Other than that, I think people still make more parts for the CBR than the FZR but it is still very limited.
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

+1 A 900rr over an FZR 600.. I don't like the f2 at all !! The FZR handles better and more fun to drive

Agree with everyone else, ...

F2 = bleh...

900RR = CAN YOU SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN' ? :notworthy:

FZR = hey......where are we ? Love this bike, why else would I spend 4 times what it's worth on it over the last 4 years ?

WOOT :headbang:

The last part of that statement coming from a guy who also owns a CBR 954rr. Bought one and not only kept his FZR but still rides it and still mods it. You can still go out and get what you want, and don't get me wrong, for what it is the F2 (if that's what you are considering buying) is great bike but the FZR, GSXR, and ZX-6r were running circles around the F2 back in those times and for your money you would be better off putting money into your FZR or looking elsewhere. Ok there's the second set of my2cents .

i would not upgrade to a cbr600 F2 from a fzr600. power wise they are to close, look ugly as hell and are dated. sell the fzr and upgrade to at least a F4I if you can or somthing else closer to the late 90's early 00's. i met a guy about a month ago who said some great bikes to upgrade to if you cant aford a newer bike would be 96+ zx7r, 96+ gsxr 750, 97+ gsxr 600.

id just keep what ya got right now.

+1 on the zx7r.
Thats about the only "older" bike I'd trade my fzr for.
