Riding pants - Overpants or regular

I'm looking at getting some riding pants soon so that I can assume the title of the hottest biker in rush hour. I've been looking at a couple different pairs:
Shift Havoc
Icon Automag
Both look good, but I can't decide whether I want overpants or regular pants. I like the idea of not having to change pants twice a day when I go to work, and I like the styling of the overpants a bit more. My only concern is that overpants and jeans would be pretty unpleasant on really warm days and I would end up not wearing them.
Thoughts anyone?

Great question man, a guy I work with comes in everyday in his Harley Chaps. He pops them off rolls them up and sticks them in a backpack.....I vote for overpants for the work week and pants for the weekend.

First link doesnt work anymore (product not available?)
I dunno, I think I would want a little more padding, they look good yes, but you can get gear that looks good but also has an ass pad, knee pads and something with tailbone support.
I have the joe rocket ballastic set, textile, yes, but great padding, comfort and good price!

It depends on what the weather is, what your going to wear. If its winter I want pull overs.

I was riding last month with my coveralls on and it was like 28 degrees. I was warm though.
We have been lucky this winter. Lots of rain which sucks.

I wish leather pants weren't so expensive. Im looking to get a matching pair for my jacket and the pants cost just as much as the jacket.

Oh boy if it is cold wet weather overpants and summer time leathers with silk undersuit. Getting sweaty in leathers may be some peoples idea of fun but it aint mine. The undersuit wicks the sweat away and allows you to feel comfortable with out stinking up the place.
I made the mistake of wearing textile suit NO liner but armour a T shirt & jockey shorts when I took the lady away on out 25th wedding anniversary last summer
Having bathed on arrival I had to hang the suit out the window it was "ripe" and only the hot sunshine got rid of the stink. Hence the technical undersuit.
As to changing for work yup I am old fashioned enough to keep a wardrobe of kit at work (never know when you are gonna get lucky ......................................... )
