Found this site last night while trying to find info about the fzr400. There's the full model history of the fzrs + plenty of pics of various fzrs/early yzfs, there's even a promotional video for some of the models. Too bad I can't read Japanese .

Nice find. Didn't know there was a 500 model.

Yea a couple of countries got them as there is some insurance or licensing issue that they can get around by making them a 500cc instead of a 600cc. It's the same as the fzr600 just destroked.
