What are yours?

My dad and I are about to leave on our bikes to go camping about 3.5 hrs away. It's a training run for our longer trip to NM in a few weeks.

Gonna put some miles on the bikes. Just took the Kawi out for a quick jaunt and put about 40 miles on it. Gonna take the FZR out in a little while and put some miles on it as well.

+1 got some riding in today before it rained, then took the wife on a little "Sunday" drive in her car, showed her some local pastoral areas she had not seen before, got some ice cream etc. It rained lightly for quite a while then rained steadily until just a couple minutes ago. A few neighbors are lighting fireworks already. Last time we went to see an actual fireworks display was 6 years ago. (I never cared that much about it anyway, not that I'm not at least a little patriotic)

Kind of pathetic but it tends to rain every 4th of July here, and once you've seen one at Indian Head Naval Ordnance Station all the rest seem like a big joke. They actually set off old BOMBS there. It's about a 2 hour show. Forget that 17 minute crap, if I drive somewhere and sit down to watch, I want to be ROCKED. Of course after a while you might go deaf.

One day I'll take her there and not tell her what's going to happen. I'll bring some earplugs just so she doesn't whine.
:shocker

You should get one of those army style tents. I'm sure you could find one in an outdoor catalog like Cabelas. I actually rode in the rain today, it was a light rain, and only for an hour. But the last time my FZR had seen rain (snow) was like 9 years ago. Well and when I wash it, but that doesn't count.
:stupid
