hello all,

i was wondering if anyone has some good solid infomation on 80's ninjas, or a good forum, or spec page, etc. around the corner from my sister's house is a '86 zx6 for $300 that we're thinking of picking up as a project for my dad. we're just not sure if there's any good info, or parts out there for them these days. haven't got a good chance to browse the net yet, but i figured someone on here might have a few links lying around. thanks!

yeah, its really up to my dad whether he wants to get it or not. i think it will make a GREAT project, we're thinking street fighter. the 80's ninjas look pretty skimpy on fairings, so might as well take em all off. supposedly it needs carburetor rebuild, and it hasn't got a title. but for $300 who the hell cares.

but if anyone knows some good sites for "classic" ninja sites for some info that would be awesome. bikebandit carries oem parts, so there's some good news, but it would be nice if there was a forum like this out there for ninjas. for some reason i doubt it though. seems like fzr guys are one of a kind

A member on this forum and the Archives (Superfly) has rebuilt 2 80's ninja 600s (an 88 and 86) in the last 2 years in addition to his FZR. Here's the write up for them

well unfortunately dad didn't get it. right now he lives and works in the bay area california, but hopefully will be back down here soon, so it could be september, or it could be a year from now. so he didn't know where to put the bike. oh well, we'll figure something out for him once he's back down here. thanks for the link though, had some good info there.
