Man, they act like it's something new. Engines with very similar dynamics set air speed records in the thirties.

About all I can see is that they are now able to engineeer a common crankshaft version (a 3D machining/computer modeling issue, likely)

we are both old enough to realise there is very little "new" under the sun when it comes to mechanical engineering.

Lets face it, left to right , up & down, back to front and round & round governs everything mechanical . :grinnod:
