think im paying to much?

Post by apsolus »

ok do you guys think a rear rim w/tire, cush drive, sproket, all the spacers and a chock lever assy off an 89 fzr 1000 should cost me 150? seems alittle steep to me. reason im asking is there is a guy local from me who has these parts and i need them for my exup swingarm convertion on my 88.im about to go look some of this stuff up on ebay but i wanted your guys thoughts

It depends HEAVILY on the condition of that rear tire. If the tire is brand new, for example, it would likely be worth what the guy is asking for it. If you think of the parts in segments, $50 for the wheel, 50 for the swinger, and 50 for the tire, it isn't too bad. If the tire is crap though I would definitely look into getting money knocked off the asking price.

+1

Just to add, it all depends on what it's worth to you. If $150 is too much money for YOU - then it's too much. However, if you're okay with spending the money - and it's what you want - there's no problem. Sounds obvious I realize but that's what it really boils down to.

Bear in mind also that it's local, saving you shipping - the same package for $75 + $100 shipping isn't really a better deal, is it?

Honestly I think 150 is a really great deal for that. I would personally and will be listing my rear end for at least that. I have an awesome condition rear rim, with a michelin Pilot power pro(180/55-17) with 3k on it, a basically brand new 530 sunstar steel sprocket and the cush drives are pretty damn nice. So personally I'd part with that for 150, then 15 for the axels and spacers/blocks and for the caliper and brake assembly 25.. I also have a sexy polished torque arm for 10 bucks.. I know that may sound steep but price it out on ebay and you'll be spending at least that. I see the rims alone for 100
