Hi,I just bought a track bike. The bike runs great but there is a gas leak on the carbs.I replaced the bowls gaskets, floats assembly small orings, pilots, mains.Fuel level is to oem specs.Carbs don't leak when the motor is not running.I start the bike and after less then 1 minute the gas starts to drip from the overflow tube on carbs # 3 and #4.I can't find anything wrong. The valve seats are also brand new.Very frustrating.Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks

no gas in the carbs while performing the wet test? so that must mean your floats arent opening. maybe you installed the float upside down. im not sure if the 600 carbs will let you do that or not but its a possibility. i did it onmy xj 750 one time she spewed fuel like crazy :puke:

Sounds like the floats may be off or the float heights are incorrect. Are all the jets clear?

hi,the service manual does not mention how to adjust the float in mm. but only how to check the fuel level.

As a TZ racer, you should know how to do that - check your service manual, but instead of measuring up to the main jet tip, measure down to the carb body gasket surface.

I guess you don't own a fzr1000 otherwise you should know that the service manual mention only how to measure the fuel level by using theyr tool or a plastic tube. There is not mention in the manual how to adjust the floats in the classic way...measuring from the carb bottom to the float measuring spot.So....as a Tz racer you should know that or meaby not.

Check your *TZ* manual for pictures on how to measure your float height inside your carburetor. Use that new, hard-won knowledge and transfer it to the FZR1000 by taking the carbs apart and measuring the float height in much the same way shown in the *TZ* manual, except you are measuring not from the float arm to the top of the main jet, but from the top of the float to the gasket surface.

Because that's what the stock measurement is...try looking in the specs part for the carburators. But 14mm IS the correct measurement..no one is trying to lead you in the wrong way and if one of us takes the piss don't get to tangled lol
