Sooooo I made a newb mistake and just now got the bike up on the stand and when I looked down at a puddle by the front wheel I started to scold my gf's dog for peeing on my tire. However I realize now it is oil from my fork seal. Nice hole in the left one. Sweet.
Chris.

The dog probably did it anyway.
I never had the pleasure of tearing down my forks to replace a seal. Tell us how it goes.

Just follow the how-to on this site. I had never done it before and it was a piece of cake. Btw are you still interested in my seats?

Re: January Jostlings
I've been reading up on it. Looks pretty easy as long as I get the load off the springs. But I heard do it at 15x miles anyway and I'm at 12 now. So might as well get it done. Good time to go with SS braided lines and r6 brake set up me thinks too.
Darrin I was going to invite you down for a steak and lobster dinner for helping me. Guess I can't now that you haven't ever done it before. Oh well

Yeah I will follow it like a hawk. Doesn't that even make sense? Ha. Yes I am. Sorry, I've been slowly coming up with my list and gathering parts.blensen wrote:Just follow the how-to on this site. I had never done it before and it was a piece of cake. Btw are you still interested in my seats?

No hurry. I may decide that I want to keep them until I can figure out why my Corbin is such a PITA to take off...

Re: January Jostlings
I followed the instructions on here and it was easy. I think I used triangle brand seals and they haven't leaked a bit. Did take forever to get here since I managed to buy them from the UK without looking. You'll notice a nice difference in the suspension with some fresh oil, I went up to 20w but 15 seems popular. Depends how much damping you want
And my issue is automotive, humming noise from my impala on acceleration and declaration above about 20mph. Likely culprit is the oh so wonderfully non servicable hubs but I get to spend my Sunday morning checking the possible suspects
