dogbone lengths - sizes needed Now in WIKI

Over a year back I had a contact to make dogbones in 6mm stainless steel.

I'm again looking at sourcing this item and thinking of expanding the catalogue to include the whole range

To accomplish this, i need INFO of the centres (centre of one hole to the centre of the other and the diameter of the holes) of the original bones for each model.....250s, 400's 600's 750's and any others you have relevant sizes for. If possible, if you've already done this mod and reduced the bones by say 3mm...how much lift has this given.

I already have the sizes for the following and the lift amounts

FZR1000 genesis pre exup
Thunderace
FZR1000 exup all years - 165mm holes 12mm dia

any further info of other models and sizes are much appreciated. Once I have the info, i'll contact my supplier and get some prices for manufacture as I did previously.

Heres the previous items although this time i'll probably only supply the none polished versions due to lack of spare time at present

Many thanks in advance for any help given :tks:

Stig,
because a lot of us have on the 600's been forced to change rear shocks we tend to use ReelRazor's infinitely variable dog bones

he has a set of these on his own machine going on 3 years mine have only been on about 2 weeks Image

George as a civil engineer I gotta say that dog bone design scares me. The eccentricity built into a part that sees so much varying load is a very very bad idea. Furthermore it's welded and not a solide piece. I dunno I just find it concerning.

To the OP how much will a set cost to have made? I put a GSXR750 swingarm on my FZR400. I have an adjustable FOX TC shock which is adjusted to 11.5" eye to eye and I had to make a dog bone my self which was 165.5mm center to center.

FZR400/600:The Stock length is 5.8” center on center, which translates into roughly 147mm, if memory serves correct.

FS,
I guess you did not read the thread that those pics came from:-

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2020&p=21326&hilit= ... nes#p21326

then you will see why I went along with the idea when my own sense of "hmmm" kicked in but I got a pal at UNI to model it for me (he has since gone "walkabout") or I would print the data he showed me as to stress datagrams.

Mine are 5" with a YZF swingarm and R6 shock. Feels like stock height with my buttmeter.
