FZRSupport: the FZROnline Archive

On the old board I saw a bike with satin black bodywork and metallic black frame. Does anyone know what brand of paint the guy used?
Also, how hard is it to polish the steel frame? I've been able to polish steel gas tanks before but never tried a frame.

I have never really seen anyone polish a steel frame, because unless you protect it or clear coat it, it will rust BIG time, really fast too. All the FZR's you see with polished frames are 400's because they have the aluminum frame which wont rust.

I'm going to try to polish the steel anyway. I'm repainting the entire bike, so if the steel doesn't polish well it will be ready for the new paint job anyway. If it does polish well i'll put a nice clear coat on it to ward off the rust.
This also gives me something to do till I can afford all the parts to get the bike running again.

i used dupli-color and i'm happy with it.
