Parts pool

It struck me that the pool of breakable parts , such as peanut covers is running dry.

I would suggest that from now on you do not bin parts as in fact most parts (plastics as well) can be repaired.

We have workmen on the list with machine stations which can virtually re-make NEW parts if they have an old one to copy. We have powder coaters , welders, spray painters ,machine shops all of whom are more than capable of ".wakening the dead".

I lived in a 3rd world country where parts were at a premium so perhaps I have not got this "kleenex" mentality of "oh its scratched I will bin it & buy another one".
We are dealing here with an old bike with virtually no real new spare parts if we continue to bin stuff that some one else can repair then we are making it hard for all of us.

I urge you to dig in your "scrap" pile and send the bits to one of the artisans to repair & sell on , financial gains to be thrashed out between you all.
