Throttle cable snapped going down 275, got the bike home thanks to a friend with a truck but need to get a throttle cable today so I can make it to work tomorrow. Anybody with one in the Tampa area or even a decent drive away send me a PM, have cash in hand. I'll try to arrange a ride to come pick it up. It's for a 94 600 btw, seems there's a difference in some of the years. banghead

If you absolutely HAVE TO, you can swap the 'push' cable to work as a 'pull' cable. You'll have to swap it at the grip and at the carbs themselves.

If I am not mistaken, Shredex has done this..he is also close to your area

that's probably what I'm looking at doing, the other alternative is use the choke as a throttle since it runs to about 4k until ones comes in. I sent shred a pm to see if he had one from his builds but no reply. There's a few on ebay so I can probably get one in a few days limping it in one of those two ways.

ended up doing the cable swap while waiting for my new ones only to find that my plugs needed to be replaced after a torrential downpour yesterday

you can use the throttle cables from a 89-98 fzr600. There all the same. They might have different part numbers though.

And yea, sorry I couldn't be of help.
My throttle cable snapped and I used the return cable as my pull till I swapped out my throttle with r1 throttle/cables.

Tampa, got new ones on the way from ebay. Using the push cable in place of the pull actually works pretty well. It's not quite as tight but responds enough to ride safely with and only has a hint of rpm float when you let off. Thank you though
