I am having issues with my bike ground out and frying my ignition wires.... I just paid 250.00 to get them fixed, I went to go pick up the bike and my mechanic re-wired all the ignition wires and i had the fzr sitting at an idle while we were talking and 10-15 mins go by of it running and i go to leave and before i even get a mile away the wires to the ignition are fried again. does anyone know what this could be? when i say fried i mean they were smoking and melted the wires. he re wired the blinkers also but is what is weird is it was running fine untill i put it in gear and go, any ideas?

Bad ground wire somewhere. Check the negative battery cable and make sure it's secure at both ends. Otherwise, you have a bad ground or maybe a wire is bare and is shorting out along the frame somewhere.

Wires to THE ignition CIRCUIT...as in...wires from the TCI unit that power the coils??

Or "ignition" switch....as in key switch?

Has the simple check of your voltage regulator/rectifier been done? You may have a serious overcharging issue..or you may have AC electricity flowing in your system
