Just out of curiosity does anyone know the fastest a motorcycle can be tuned to run in the US right off the floor?

Japan set the limit at 186 MPH a while back there was an agreement
if you're talking unrestricted though the 2005? i believe hayabusa and ZX12r was capable of around 205 with few performance mods

unrestricted hyabusas prior to '05 i believe had a speedometer that reads up to ~220ish mph, and i've seen videos of turbo'd busas smashing through the speedo until it taps out. not sure if these are "real" or someone messed with the speedo to make it look like it was going faster than it was. either way, that's the bike i would kill myself on because i would have to top it out at some point

Busa has been restricted since 00. 99 was the only year they went unrestricted and yea they topped out at 220. The last time I took a ride on my father in laws friends 07 zx14 i had it at 130 (in 3rd) on a quiet road by the house so you can just imagine what they can do un governed.
