i cant seem to find a definitive answer to this; I know a YZF tank will fit nicely on the fzr frame but will a R6 tank also fit relatively well on a fzr frame?

correct me if i'm wrong everyone, but i believe the r6 tank has more of a curve to it so you end up with a gap on the left and right sides in between the tank and the frame. i'm pretty sure shredex tried this (or was it an r1 tank, not sure).

i know there is a small curve on the bottom edge on both sides, but im more concerned with the width and lenght and depth...

I have an r6 tank on mine but it doesnt match up well here is your definitive answer.
Tank looks nice imo from a distance.

That said I would go with the YZF tank if I were you.

I agree, my intentions were to make a fiberglass mid piece for the R6 tank
