So Jim's riding season is officially over folks. Last night Jim and his wife welcomed Robert Westly at 9PM, weighing in at 7 lbs 1 oz (3.2KG) I would like to be the first to congratulate them on their brand new baby boy and future Boston Bruins, Redsox, and of course a Celtics fan. (note the Celtics Championship ring)

Congratulations! Have fun NOT sleeping!

Don't know if it's your first or not but the lack of sleep is totally worth it later down the line!

Brandon,
I do not know who told you that but they F***ing lied as the old man of this site I can tell you that a baby is dependant on YOU not just till college, or when some dum man/woman marries him / her but for ALL the days you breathe.
My eldest living child is 45 and she still expects me bail her sorry ass out because she is not capable of looking after her self or finding a man who will set her a*se straight about the facts of life.
It took 10 years of hard work for my current wife to get me to father her kids after being bitten by wife number 2 for kids. Thank God wife number one had no such inclination to breed.

All I know is I couldn't imagine my life without my daughter. Yeah, she can be a PITA sometimes but she IS and always will be the best thing that's ever happened to me. AND, as much as I choose to spend time doing other things (like working on bikes!) over spending time with her it never ceases to amaze me how much she loves me and is willing to allow me to just be me. That said, I stand by my assertion that it's totally worth it - to me at least. Hopefully, it will be to Target as well. As for always having to be there for her - I willingly and happily accept that just as my parents are still there for me to this day at 39 years. Is married life / fatherhood difficult for me at times? You bet your a** it is. But you know what? I chose this so I'm playing it the best I can. So... Here's to planning for the worst and hoping for the best!

As a Father that is as good as it gets, Fatherhood is wonderful most days but kids sure can ruin yer mood (or worse ruin the wifes) as then we all get to hear about MY kids. It is always amazed me the little blighter says her first word its her kid the first time it uses abad word its suddenly mine Lol
Jim,
do not be put off Jim although at this stage its a bit late,<BG> Fatherhood does add another dimension to being a Man , you have stepped upto the plate now go for it & the VERY best of luck for the three of yurs future

I'd give up my FZR, my TTR and my Grizzly in a heart beat for my little man!!!! Fatherhood is the greatest! Luckily my soon-to-be 4yr old loves riding all three with daddy so I don't see that being a necessity
Congrats to you and your family!
