ive been racking my brain trying to find small round headlights until yesterday whil riding home i noticed a dodge dakota with round bright fog lights...then the flood gates left loose and the brain accpeted the water.

i hit ebay this morning and bingo i think this is the way to go. anyone think these from a VW beetle would be ok? its gog the dot shit on them and everything. they might look made cool in the 92 upper i got. even got mounting tabs so it should be simple to mount thesein the signal head light opening.

sorry i dont like the 91/92 light...its ugly. :tongue:

what kind of upper would you be fitting these too ..?
i Love halo lights !!! but you only have one beam dunno if u want the high beam or not but i tried with the foggers i didnt like the light so i put old headlights back in and put HID under 100 dollars and some rewiring cuz they arnt plug n play <like they say >. You shouldnt have a problems wit the halo rings on the sreeet..

my bad didnt see u said single headlight

Sorry Abs, dont mean to jack your thread but does anyone know how to calculate if the load on new headlights will be too much for the fzr charging system?
I was thinking of adding two more lights in addition to the airtech fzr-r1 headlight. (the lights being very similar foglights like Abs mentioned above).

i dont think the halo will be an issue, since most BMW's had them for ages and some still do

I generally consider myself to be an electrical idiot, but can't you apply Ohm's law to find the current draw? We know the voltage range that should be coming off the stator and you should be able to find the resistance across the bulb with a multimeter. With that, shouldn't it be as simple as:

Amps = Volts / Resistance

Maybe someone can confirm this, Circuit theory and I don't get along.

I like them halo ones buti want high and low beams incase i choose to get inspections.... :whistle

ill go with the dirtbike stuff. street righter and stunt guys slap these headlight on all the time so ill just cut out what i need a plastex the rest in or somthing. this way i get the whole 9 yards, put il put put some super bright ass bulbs in it for a cool factor since i hate the color of the stock fzr bulbs...cant see shit at night with them. screwy

check these bulbs out
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PIAA-H4- ... enameZWDVW

personally in my mind these are the bext halogen bulbs on the market better then sylvania or those phillips crap they sell at autozone or pepboys
but this guy selling them used as they regularly go for like $60-$70 for the pair but if u search u can find cheaper . :shocker
