Mossy ripped off

Post by mossy1200 »

This is the short story of bike bandit and how they let me down. Please forward this to other forums to warn others of how they treat their customers.

Guys a recently ordered two front discs for my bike from bike bandit.
they were ebc prolite brand and I ordered a lt and rt to get new matching set.
Both discs were showing as stock items.
Next i got an email saying one cross ordered and would ship both together when it arrives.
Next week i get an email saying one disc shipped and the other cancelled and not avalible.
I got no notification that one could not be sent but they shipped the other anyway.
Next gripe is they charged me import tax and duty on the disc even though it was below the New Zealand import tax duty limit of $400 NZD
I had accepted the tax section on the order because having ordered two discs it would have been over the $400.
When this first happened I got on their chat line to try resolve the issue and just kept getting told the disc is not avalible.

I dont know what they expect me to do with one disc.
They refuse to refund the tax amount of $60 usd

be warned that bikebandit have not treated me fairly and have done nothing to resolve the problems that i had and would prefer to steer around the dirrect questions that i have sent them.

Please guys forward this to other forums before other overseas victims are caught out by this company.

I did authorise tax (import )which is common for items that come in by courier service but when they droped one disc off the order the value halved and the order got below $400 NZD and was no longer subject to tax.Why should I have to pay them for tax that was not required.
When I asked them to refund this I got this reply. They are now trying to say parts not manufactured in US have duty added onto their advertised price. If you add $60usd onto the $194usd they are selling at retail plus 30% and claiming to have cheepist price.Im just getting lies from them now.

Hello Steve,

Thanks for writing in! The Origin of the parts that are manufactured outside of the US will require taxes and duties. This does not apply to items manufactured within the US. Please email us back if you have any questions or concerns.

This is Another Kiwi who got stung.Quoted from Kiwi Biker site.

"I ordered two parts from bike/assbandit

One part is less than 3 bucks, the other is a couple hundred.

They send the 3 dollar part which is the size and weight of an old 50 cent piece and hit me for 80 US dollars in shipping.

Then after the other part is on backorder for a couple weeks they drop it. Never for it to be found again. "

Guys,
Time to get on a mission and give these BANDITS some free publicity on every board we are members of and join some more to spread the word..
My fave 5 sites are already aware of their bad rep.

the way bandit works is they hold against your visa as pending until they dispatch the item.
because they mucked me around for 4weeks while it was on pending I cant get the visa amount reversed.

Im more concerned with the treatment that I have received as a few hundred lost in the game of racing is a small amount.
you have to put into perceptive when I run $800 NZD tires that last one weekend.

i just cant believe im getting fobbed off by a company that doesnt care about its overseas customers.

Thanks George.
Its hard when your trusting a company from different country because getting resolve when things go wrong is nearly impossible.
The latest offer from bandit is 10% off my next purchace as if this is ever going to happen.
