Does anyone have any idea why my clutch is tight and when I pull the lever in my clutch is not disengaging, It acts like its locked in gear and the clutch is frozen. I am in major help with this problem. Thanks!

might need adjusting?

loosen the cable at the clutch lever.
then go to your sprocket cover...there might be a circle cover on it that you will need to remove which will reveal a bolt with a phillips head, and a nut around it.
loosen that nut...*note: the nut may "pop" loose in a sudden matter that might startle you and think you broke something....its ok though...its does that.
then turn the phillips head thing right till you just start to feel resistance...DO NOT FORCE TURN...turn lightly till it stops...then turn it back out 3 full turns...then tighten the bolt back on...
then adjust at the lever to how you like it...(usually with 1/8 play room or even a nickles width play room)

shred, if you go by the manual, loosen lock nut, tighten phillips bolt just till it bottoms then back it off 1/4 turn, lock down the nut again, then adjust at the lever. I think 3 full turns may be too much. 1/4 turn wasn't enough on mine and I ended up around 1/2 turn out.

I tried that and it still will not let the bike move freely when you pull the lever in and move bike back and forth. I'll retry this and let you know if anything changes. THANKS!

yea, its .25 (1/4) turn out...

...man and I just adjusted mine 2 weeks ago... nice memory I have

All sizes of FZR use a wet clutch assembly, meaning the clutch is immersed in engine oil. If all the oil makes its way out from between the clutch plates and friction plates, the clutch will not disengage. If the bike has been sitting a while, this can happen. If it has, I would definitely make sure it has enough oil and possibly change it. Guess what? The oil fill cap is above the clutch assembly, so when you add the new oil, you're pouring it directly over the clutch disc/friction plate assembly you're trying to unstick.

One thing I've heard is that you may want to rubber band the clutch lever all the way to the handle overnight, and then put the bike in second and give it a little push, and the clutch should start moving again (all this with the clutch lever pulled all the way in).

I could be wrong, so hopefully some of the others will chime in to let you know if I'm right or not.

That is exactly what the manual says to do if it has been sitting for a while. Can't hurt to try and also maybe just change the oil too.
