Too bad the thing uses a damn V-Rod engine and that he made it look like a Duc 999 with a single sided swingarm though. Some of the tech behind it is interesting though. Like the fuel tank is the tail of the bike.

yeah they had to put the gas tank inside the tail cuz there is NO room under the "tank cover". i saw the article on this thing in a somewhat recent motorcycle mag (not sure which one). it is definitely not worth the price tag. think it was like $40k or something, and yeah wouldn't want a POS harley engine in a bike. woulda been better off supercharging a Duc, but then again Duc's don't need it

What i find disappointing is why every "American" sport bike uses a V Twin that's either a Harley style copy or a Rotax copy. Be nice to see a new American developed I4 or a V4 or even a V5 like some of the MotoGP bikes use. Nice bike but what they did is no different than those guys who build sand rails and rock crawlers with chevy and ford engines in them. Nothing new.

nice components yet a s@%t motor. I don't know how they can justify 40k, think of how bling you could make a gsxr1000 or an r1 with 40k! Look at the dry weight of this thing too, 196kg, bit of a pig.

Exactly, even Buell is using a real Rotax engine now in their 1125R bike. Look at Aprilia and BMW. They built an V4 and an in-line 4 for their new race / street machines.
The only thing I like about the V-Rod engine is that it was developed by Porsche.

I've read the backstory on this bike, and you gotta admire the guy, and feel sorry for him. He's some kind of engineer that build the entire prototype/finished bike in his garage over the last 4-5 years. When he started, the V-Rod motor was the most advanced, most powerful American made motor available, and he went the sport bike route instead of the ultra-bling chopper route so many people seem to take.
Then, about 6 months before he debuted his 3-4 year labor of love, buell comes out with the 1125r with a brand new, better motor than the one he designed his whole bike around.
Bet he wishes now that he'd waited another year or two. Imagine what the power output on a supercharged 1125r in one of those things would be.
