Hi
awhile back some one posted aQ as to why the bike had alimiter and how to overcome it. This is what I just got back:-

You can modify the clocks without having the restriction prob.
There are two ways to do it.

1) The real racers approach:
Screw a screw trough the dial at ~100 mph to stop the needle moving at
this point - No restriction anymore.

2) The considerate approach:
Open the clock. You will find a disk on the axle that holds the needle.
The disk is not complete, but there is a cutout. The disk runs through
an optical sensor. When the bike stands still (0 mph) the disk interrupts
the optical sensor. To remove the restriction you have to remove most
of the disk, but NOT the part that interrupts the optical sensor at 0 mph!

Sorry for my english, feel free to ask if something is not clear to you.
I just remembered one thing: The speed restriction on the 3TJ was for the
Japanese Market. The easiest thing to bypass this would have been to
remove the speedo cable. To prevent people to do so, the ECO recognizes
if there is a speedo cable attached when the optical switch changes its
state when the bike starts moving.
