Anyone ever heard of or used a Scorpion battery? Seems to be the best deal and since mine died I need a new one. Local place wants 80 and they have to special order it. Found a Scorpion sealed on ebay for 56 shipped. Has the standard 1yr warranty and such.

Is it gel or acid Kid.
I like gel batteries if your prepaired to charge them if your bike in storage or has long sitting periods.
Until you get to explosion proof batteries like aero a battery is just a battery and brand means very little until you get to top end prices.
Shops work on 100%+profit margins to cover paying staff, showroom, power, comission, company directors,Office chick, unpayed accounts, unsold old stock and so on and so on.
This could mean that phone or internet Bob who packs things up in his garage out the back is selling you a better item cheeper as he has no overheads or expenses that havent been payed before shipping into his account.

last cheap battery I bought on ebay ended up bursting. My current battery came from Batteries plus for $83 and carries a hefty warranty.

I bought my maintenance free battery from Interstate. It was pricey at $125 but was one of the best ones I have ever had for a bike.

You gotta remember if they give you one year guarentee then the average will last 3 or more.
Why would you give a year warranty if every 2nd one shagged out.
I asked my boss about batteries today as my parent company specialises in UPS and he told me when he calls the supplier they ask him which brand so they can put the correct sticker on the battery. The supplier sells one make of battery and 6makes of sticker.I SHIT YOU NOT.
