Streetfighter bike platform/what is this bike?

Post by BAT »

I'm looking to get a new bike with more torque. Anyone know what this bike is?Image

I'm not sure what bike to start with. Something relatively low cost, but a big twin motor. I was thinking either a Buell or the suzuki tl1000s.

I imagine I could pick up an sv1000 or something like it kinda cheap. Those half-naked almost sport bikes aren't too popular.

I want 0-70 quick, not 40-110 quick, but I do enjoy those 100 mph rides.

So any suggestions for a cheapish v-twin bike that would look good naked?

I like the design of the Buells but don’t know a lot about them. I like the older Ducati monsters. I might get a naked bike for my next ride. depends on how much money I have.

Try stay clear of the tl1000s and tl1000r.i have riden both and neither handle very well. You will spend all your coins trying to go arround corners rather than on making it look good.vtr1000 would be better and they have heaps of bottom end.SP1 or rc51 i think you call them would look good naked, maybe an crash victim bike. These have pull all through the rev range and top end not unlike a inline four.I used to own one and loved it but not a passanger friendly ride so i changed bike when i got married.

I think that the Aprilia SL1000 Falco is a cheep and punchy big twin. Good suspension too, better then the VTR1000 they say...
It would make a good starting point for a naked. But it will take some work to get it to look good. my2cents
