header heat wrapping

hey i got a question about heat wrapping my headers. anyone do it here before. is it worth the money to do. anyone got any preferences on best brand or technics on how to apply. thanks for any info

everything i have heard has been bad

not worth the money, no real gains

they smell like crap and get disgusting if you hit a puddle or it rains

It will rot the pipes faster than just about anything else. Especially if they get wet and you don't run it long enough and hard enough to dry the wrap completely every time.

If you are worried about keeping heat in the pipes, then ceramic coating is what you want.

+5K on that advice the only way to go for coating headers and getting a slight boost to power as it keeps the exhaust gassses at constant level temperature wise.
