So just fixed the bike and was out test riding it again...Went down the main road by my house and hit a red light. Fairings both on. Green so I start to go decide to open her up a bit through 3rd into fourth then start to slow for approaching red light. Get to the redlight and wouldnt you know it, My FuKCING right side fairing is gone. The only piece of it left was a small triangle of it attached to the mount by the exhaust midpipe. WTF

Good thing Match is selling me his fairings lmao.

How the hell did that happen?

Idk?? I was missing two bolts on that side so maybe that had something to do with it? Ohh well...Now I ride naked.

All the screws were in there when you left with the bike. Damn guy thought you were gonna take care of it...

same thing happened to me when I didnt put all the screws in...lucky, I was in my neighborhood and some guy pulled next to me and said "your fairing fell off back there"...funny cuz you dont feel it...when my left r1 fairing blew of it slammed into my leg and I felt that

Haha this happened with my stock fairings a few years back. Was riding in the front with a few of my buddies on a nice straight in the country side. Blew off around 110mph, all i felt was something hit my leg and I looked down and saw the right side missing. It blew off and soared into the sky over the telephone wires. My friends said they thought I hit a some kind of vulture.

Good shot mega, those are some nasty birds. LOL

i never ran all the screws on my fairings on the fzr, but one thing i did notice was since the bike vibrated so much they screw around the choke area would always come loose. i constantly was replacing a missing screw every 4K miles when i did an oil change. you gotta make the f*ck reallly tight, its just a poor design they had, (non locking)
