Long trip

Post by youvegotmoxie »

I'm going on my first long distance motorcycle trip, unfortunantly not on my FZR (I was cleaning my carbs today at work and someone came up behind and scared me, I jerked the wrench and snapped off one of the bolts that holds the emulsion tube in.) i'm borrowing my friends Honda CB 750. What are some essentials I need for the trip? I'm going from Gainesville, FL to Atlanta, Georgia which should take about 2.5 - 3 hours. I've already packed my ipod, extra clothes, misc tools including jb weld, zipties and a few quarts of oil. Anything else I should bring to make the trip more enjoyable?

Preparation H. A credit card. I mean, there's a long journey, and there's a long journey, as in transcontinental, and I wouldn't worry to much for a jaunt of several hours.

Stop for a smoke and a brew about halfway through - enjoy the journey as an experience, don't endure it simply as a task to be completed.

2.5 - 3 hours???

cmon that's just a ride around the block lol!!!!

When I bring a backup, I always put in a few wrenches, plyers, allen wrenches, whatever is light.

Just remember the more you bring, the heavier your backpack is going to be and your back might get sore.
