If those of you who had stock fairing and airtec kits could take a few measurements for me it would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to get the final lengths for the race rails and I want to make sure they will fit around fairings but I don't have any.

So the measurements I need are from the front engine mount on the downtubes straight out on each side. I need to know the length from the downtube mount to the outside of the fairings. I need this for both sides.

I also need the measurement from the top motor mount to the outside of the fairings.


This is what the rails look like. I need measurements at the beginning, end and middle of possible. I want it to hug the fairing as tight as possible but not rub so accurate measurements would be very helpful. I'm hoping the airtech are close enough to the stock measurements that I'll only have to make one size.

I wish I could help you but I dont have a bike yet . Sry dude, but when you do get the mockup I will want some, powdercoated too .

May I suggest you do a photoshop marked picture of what you want where etc . Words in this situation are just not clear enough (that or my wife used too much cooking sherry again LoL)

Are you wanting the width? Like from frame out to where your tube is?

I need the distance from frame out to where the fairing is. Basically, if my picture above had fairings, how far out would my bar need to be in order to not rub the fairing. I need to know the two mounting points and a middle point for good measure.

TK, youll need about a 4" clearance space between the bar and the frame where you have it mounted in the pic.
you can use the peanut cover as spacing because the end of that sits flush with the fairings.

What you really need is a fairing to put on to test fit it. All that shit you had for sale and no fairings?

Oh I have a set of beasley fairings. I don't have a way to mount them though and I don't want to drill them in case I decide to sell them and the next person doesn't want race rails.

Its 36 degrees right now

Well it's 17 here. There has to be more than like 2 people on this forum that have full fairings. Come on people....where is the love for helping out a fellow board member??

huh?

From the right side frame to the fairing: a little under 2.5"

From the right side crank case (where a bolt threads into from the bottom) to the fairing: 2 - 1/8"

left frame to fairing: 2.5"

left timing nub to fairing: a little under 2"


My bike has been down on the right side FYI. Also, you should get more measurements from other people to verify.

I also want to mention that these things are going to stick out really far if you are going to make them fit around the fairings. The fairings stick out quite a bit already. I would not put them on my bike, because they would kill the lines and make the bike look horrendous.

I guess I was the one with the warmest climate. It's about 50 degrees right now in Houston.
