Anyone use the Fieldsheer saddle bags? I was going to take the 600 to San Antonio for Thanksgiving and will need a decent set of bags for clothes ect. Any thoughts? I found a set for $35.00 and for that price I figured what the hell.

Considering my last back pack with RIP in 2001

I only have attache' cases and such so either way I'm thinking $35.00 is a steal.

Yeah, $35 bucks...give em a try, and report back to us about the FZR fit with them. My winter goal is to improve my sewing skills and make a combined saddlebag/trunk that is specific to my FZR
That backpack stuff is for the birds, imho. I see no reason to burden my body with weight the bike could take.

I also wear a backpack but I never ride far enough that i need to pack a lot of stuff.

Look similar to my FirstGear ones too, for about 1/3 the price.

Ok well I got them in and for $35.00 the quality is good enough for government work! The storage capacity was just enough to slide my IBM T42 Laptop in and zip the top. The install was simple and it securely fastened to the bike. Now, I have these on my YZF-600 and ironically it was the same bike they used in the instruction photograph! I will post pictures this weekend, I think they will do just as well on the FZR's as our exhaust is typially lower and the velcro straps will adjust in for the slightly narrower seat of the FZR. I did cross connect the straps in the back for a little more tension. So my left bag is connected to the right strap and vice versa.
Overall I would recommend these bags to anyone looking for a great buy + they come with rain covers.

I promised a picture so here you go not bad for 35 dollars. I have been riding with them for just about three days and they've stayed in place I only notice them when I dismount.
