Air Tech FZR-R1 Fairings or Something Else?

Post by slayermd »

I've heard various things about the quality, the service and a few other things about Air Tech. But, Im shopping around for some new plastics that I need for my track Fizzer and that set seems like a viable option. Other ideas I had was getting an R6 set off ebay for 350, but the only thing that has going is the price. Any thoughts, please chime in.

yeah god the airtech kit is expensive. What is the need for the track? Is it sort of a thing where you can't just tape the headlights up and take your mirrors off?

it would suck to drop huge $$$ on fairings and then lay your bike down on the track and have to go refiberglass everything.

It going to be my race bike for next season and is not street legal. That and I only have the tail and front fairing, both are not in the best of shape.

The Beasley fiberglass fairings are pretty nice. Feels a little thicker than the airtech too. I've never heard anyone say anything bad about Beasley either.

I wouldn't do the fzr-r1 airtech fairings for a race bike.

I checked them out today, their website sucks. But I might go with them, the price for what I need is right.

How about the YZF 600 fairings? I thought they were an easy mount.

Yeah, it does. So does factory pro's and flo-commanders. Still, both of them have great products. Don't kill them for the site.
