im debating on whether or not to keep my lips polished this summer or go back to all blk wheels which i thought were nice. till i painted another set almost to color of bike and polished the lips then i thought they looked badass. Now im pondering back and forth so this is what it looked like with black wheels



and this is what it look with polished wheels


what would you guys do ? damn it been a while since i asked these types of questions ..

polished rims for my choice

The rims look better polished. Never really been a fan of all black wheels myself unless they have rim tape on em the same color as the bike.

definitely like the polished rims. love the color you chose for the bike too. looks fantastic.

I had no idea someone had a bike like mine or I guess mine could be like yours... just waiting on the clear coat to finish the side fairings.

man once your bike is done its gonna like like my bikes twin except with a fresher makeover yours certainly has the goodies on it that mine needs wanna swap out LOL2 plus your seat sits more flush then mine but thats cuz once i got the tail painted n put on i couldnt wait to ride it

Did you see my radiator overflow? I was dying to get it out and ride it and I didn't care who was looking. I know the feeling!

hell yea man i hear you .. just hook her up and ride .lolol i used a lil bottle from a 2cycle oil popped some holes and zipped tied under the seat only think is when it gets hot i think it overflows to fast because the bottle is to little . but havnt had a problem in 4 yrs now

That's where mine is now - under the tank. I just need to attach it better.

if you go with black rims get rim tape...it does wonders and looks super trick. just check out my rims in my hybrid build.

i am going to get my R6 rim power coated and add lime green rim tape to that also since the orginal black paint has alotof chips and dings...dont ask me how ya do that to a rim? my yellow fzr rims have no dings in the paint.

i vote rim tape over polished and black wheels. as for all black rims they look like hell so polishing the lips looks 100% better but rim tape looks 200% better i think.
