Pretty sure it is permanent this time. People had stated they were refunded their donations because the hosting fee was never reached.

Hm, here in Germany you can get a complete vserver for 180€ per year without problems (if youŕe able to manage and maintain a vserver yourself) or a proper webhosting-offer including the raw servermaintainance and some Databases for around 10€ per month, and even if unemployed there is a way to get this small amount of cash for having a vserver running, so i guess the hoster seems to take a bit to high fee for the webspace (or was the commercial forumsoftware ways to expensive? If so,why not changing the softwareplatform to save money instead of killing the whole website there?)...or they orderd a overkill-webspacepackage... at least archive.org has got the non-Forum Part stored.

Edit: http://tinyurl.com/hheqx7q <-archive.org's Waybackmachine-record of the frzarchives

I got my donation back so I think fzrarchives.com iS gone and not coming back.
The problem is forums are not as convenient as facebook.
The sad thing is that is 19 years of documented experience gone. But you can only :deadhorse: for so long.

Where do you guys go now? This forum seems so quiet now its kind of sad. I thought people still like these bikes but I've come across just a handful.

In the uk theres exup.co.uk for the litre bikes, and to a lesser extent the 750s, but nothing specific for the 4/600 machines.

400greybike.com might be a solution for the 400s additional to this forum here ;)
The german fzr-forum.de has also a lot of help for customizing, but even in german language, as the fzrclub.nl in dutch language ...
And at least in the german forum most users are also able to read+write in english if needed as most users here in germany had learned english as first foreign language in school (even if that has mostly been many years ago in the past when its not needed in daily work, but i guess in the dutch forum this should also be the same..)..

Thanks for the info. I have a 400/600 so guess greybike it is. I'll lurk on the other forums too if I need more info.

Got my donation back . Its a shame to loose the site lots of good info gone . Hard to believe not enough people could make a small donation to keep it up .Too bad that it couldn't be integrated into this site somehow .

Cannot just keep donating continuously...plenty of offers to take over the hosting were made and were unaccepted.
