Idk what they put on these bikes stock, but my 600 has a micron exhaust and sounds amazing. Never once thought about changing it

Which model FZR250 do you have?? 2KR or 3LN??

The biggest problem with getting a good end can with the 250's is the fact no one makes the connecting pipe between the header exit and the silencer.

A lot of the ones from Japan are all in one items. I have a coerce pipe on mine, with std headers (as I don't want to loose the exup valve!).

Only have a 600. Can't comment as far as the 250s go, but I can't imagine it would sound bad on it.

It's a 250 that revs to 18k; you aren't going to get a throaty V8 rumble out of it. What you DO get, when you cruise at 40-50km/h in 1st gear ( :whistle ), is a scream that has the cagers' heads snapping around, looking for the Formula car ...

Hi, I put an R6 end can on my FZR 400 3EN1 last year. It will work with or without the exup servo motor connected.

It was very loud though and for the sake of my neighbour's peace and quiet I took it off. I think it will give you the sound you're after

When it's not running the default position of the exup valve on the R6 is 'open' (held in place by spring tension) but on the FZR it is 'closed'. If you ever connect the exup servo motor to the end can, you will have to bear this in mind when connecting the two cables so that it cycles properly.

Here's a link to my thread on the 400Greybike forum with some pictures:

Hope this helps a bit.
