HELLO THERE!! New to the fzr. Any info or tips will help :)

So todat i just bought a 1994 fzr 600r for what i feel was a decent deal. $850 with 19,000 miles, new stage 3 clutches, new battery, cleaned and synced carbs, jetted to a nice sounding shorty pipe. Ok looking bike (its the purple version) but missing both side fairings. All the others look decent though and the bike runs pretty damn good for just getting outta winter storage! It was 30 degrees today and she fired right up! Sounded smooth, no knocks or creaks. No 2nd gear slippage (goosed her a little when she was warm) :shocker rode her 50 miles home, she didnt miss a beat. Any info on anything with the bike would be cool or just let me know if i got a decent deal? Is 19,000 high for these bikes? Seems taken care of. Oh!!! It has a new rectifier also! :headbang: Thanks and hope for the feedback. Have a blessed day and keep the rubber side down

That's a good deal, 19k miles is very low for its age. I have an 89 fzr 600 with 64k km and still running smooth. I would suggest changing oil n filters, plugs especially if it's been sitting for a bit. Do a general check over to see everything is tight, adjust n oil chain ect, just general maintainance. Good luck with yr New bike, have fun n stay safe [THUMBS UP SIGN].

Thanks for the info AussieFZR! :) Im gonna do a oil and filter change right away (planned on it). To me its always smart to do the general maintenance regardless if the PO says it was done for piece of mind. Im gonna do a coolant change also and possibly air filter. It looks like its got brand new chain and sprockets but im gonna clean and lube properly too. Im gonna use Rotella T6. Think thats good for the ole FZR? Are these bikes known to be reliable? If you take care of anything it will last long but just curious what the life span usually is.
