I think I broke my carbs. HELP!

I just bought a bike that has been sitting for a long time. Pulled the carbs out to rebuild them, and saw the float bowl screws head were all stripped. So while I using the impact driver to get the screws out, I guess this small brass pipe on the left side broke off. Looks like the both ends broke off in the carb body. :yikes:

How would I fix this? Anyone even know what it does? Maybe I don't need to fix it. Maybe I can just plug it.
Can I swap out just one carb?
Should I take the time to find some 1000 carbs?

Thanks,
C

not sure about the far end in the image but from the picture it certainly doesnt looked snapped. The near side appears to be a press fit. Cant remember what its for but its something to do with pressure transfer if my old turnips correct

BTW, yes you can swap out a single carb. Its a bit fiddly but well doable

I want to say that's the fuel feed to the starter / enrichener jet ("choke"). If it doesn't simply press in cleanly, any number of adhesives - from JB Weld to Hot Glue should hold it in place. Just remember to clean the area thoroughly - trying to glue onto a film of gasoline varnish + oil residue is an exercise in futility ...
