89 1000 Rev limit?

89 1000 Rev limit?

Just wondering if my 1K has built in (electronic) rev limiter? or is it just valves bouncing and shit when I miss a gear!! or try to over rev it. MY eyes are usually glued to the track when im WOT. Sometimes not sure what revs im doing, mostly go by ear.
Took my mate to the track last weekend for have a go day for unlicensed (NZ racing) street guys. He was on a Ducati Diavel. I gave him stick that my 25 year old whale would kick his ass down the straight.
Well I kicked his ass down the straight. Quite satisfying really.
