Hey all I have a question about Oil Filters, specifically gaskets.

Is it a problem if the oil filter gasket ID is smaller than the ID of the oil filter flange, as long as the gasket OD is within the ID and OD of the flange where the oil filter mounts too? Or will it leak?

Shouldn't be a problem; just remember to lightly oil the contacting face of the gasket before you install it.
