Heres a couple of photos. before and after.
Ive repaired the leaky radiator. Fixed the master cylinder. Straightened the forks. Repaired front fender. Done the valve shim clearances. Replaced the clutch plates. Oil. Properly synkd the carbs. Done a R1 brake conversion. Although im having trouble with air in the system. Mounted the new front fairing and repaired the lower fairing. Mounted the new race seat. Screen. Mounted new tacho and made the mini dash. All ali brackets. Got another fuel tank waiting to go on. And a few other ali race bits.
Doesnt sound that much, but took a while. Still plenty to do, throw some big ticket items at it and paint it myself. Winter here now so progress will slow somewhat. Been out on it and it goes great. Coming off @ 180kph didnt do that much damage. Theyre pretty solid bikes

winter in New Zealand whats that like? Winter here lasted 6 months and it got down to -38c a couple of times and makes working in the unheated shop impossible for about 5 of those months. I always wonder what it's like closer to the equator, do you get snow? And by the way really looking forward to your finished product.

-38 !! Bugger that. Winter is shite here, rain, wind, generally stays between -5 and +10. Maybe get 100mm of snow twice a year. My poxy wee workshop is tin roof so it doesn't heat well. Not good for painting weather. Canada is cold but summer is nice eh. I spent a month in and around Vancouver long time ago. Great place and great people from what I can remember. I was very young and thirsty back then :drink: Don't know if I could handle a winter there though.
