Debrix valve damper

Post by JasonRDfan »

Who has bought the debrix valve damper? Supposedly it works as well as racetech's emulator. I think I will order one tomorrow. http://www.debrix.com/41mm-Fork-Damper- ... m?CartID=1

From my understanding the inside damper rod is the same size. So this one should fit ours. I have found this information on the archives and a sv forum. This one also fits a gen one sv650 which has the same inside damper rod.

Yes, but if it doesn't fit inside the 38mm fork tubes, it doesn't matter what size the damper rod is ... :headscratch:

I recognize a couple of names posting over there. I should have opened a topic discussing these first on this forum. I did not find anything here about these. Someone just posted about a group buy for the UK. Anyways it looks like a cheap alternative for gold valve cartridge emulators.

People over at fzr archives have been using it, that's why I posted a link to their messages. I just wanted to know the quality of this brand? Seems like a sweet deal right?

Cool, so I just found this, sv650 gen 1 has the same size fork damper rod and internals as a fzr 600. I just sold my sv650 gen1 about a month ago. So I just found this write up on the sv page.

I have recently installed the Debrix valve in my fzr400/600. Yes they fit our 38mm forks. What else would you like to know?

The only difference between the two is you have a choice of 3 valve load springs when buying the racetech stuff.
I wouldn't be surprised it they both came from the same Chinese factory.
Makes a world of difference to how the forks work. I would also recommend getting some stiffer fork springs at the same time.
So much easier to do a whole rebuilt while the forks are apart.

Pair of 41mm Harley cartridge emulators inc postage $82.39
0.85kg/mm Sonic brand fork springs inc postage $119.00
Seals and Bushers inc postage inc postage $50
Snap rings $22
Fork oil $18.00
Total to me in Australia = $291.39

A bit of powder coating and new forks.

Figured I would get the rims powder at the same time.
