750 import throttle cable

hi just picked up an 87 750 import. riding home the throttle cable snaps not to bad I think wrap end of cable on throttle hold tight and get home.the problem im getting is trying to find the one I need. my throttle only has 1 cable the ones advertised say push/pull .can any one shed some light on this please.i assume all I need is a pull 0ne banghead

just found out on another thread that there is meant to be 2 cables. looks like one of the previous owners didn't bother replacing the push one

Yup. That's quite common. My FZR250 is running with only a pull cable. When I get round to doing a bit of work on it and a carb rebuild I will get a new push pull setup for it.

I just looked on cmsnl.com for your bike and the schematic looks like it only has 1 cable......not sure if its a euro or usa model though....

thanks for that just took another look at the throttle and its only made for 1 cable just like the pic on link shows
