That's not a 1WG FZR. That's a 3TJ. In New Zealand I would imagine that your best bet would be to try and source them from Japan. I don't have any links or sources but ebay might be a good start.

The bike in his first pic is a 3EN1. In that case, 3HE dual-lamp FZR600 bodywork is exactly the same (at least the upper and lowers are anyway) and therefore could be fairly easily sourced. And yes, the 2nd pic is a 3TJ. THAT bodywork could probably be made to work but would take some finagling.

Try justfairings NZ, Hes about the only dude in NZ. I was looking for my fzr1000 and he does one but had to get complete fairing. I spent hours looking all over and ended up ordering top piece from these guys. They were realy my only option.

He was great to deal with over the phone, and the top piece will be on its way soon. Only USD63 delivery to NZ. Itl be quite a big box. Havent seen it yet so i dont know what quality is like.

There's two pics? I only see one LOL. Stupid work filters, the first pic is probably hosted by a site that my work filters deem unsavory.

Yeah, he posted two pics. The one that you can't see is of his 3EN1 with missing upper / lowers.

Im honestly not lasy . i have been searching high and low. the project dosent start for another 3 weeks or so . so i got loads of time .
the reson for wanting to change is because i love the look of the triangle head light it was actually fzrbrandons picture of the wee 600 in his tag that made me look into the triangle shape a bit more .
i like how it is shaped around the front mud guard (hugger) rather than the shape of the 2 lamp version that from side on looks ugly if that makes sence
here is a pic of what i might like mine to look like body wise (paint wise i would love fzrbrandon colors )
Image

i know that any triangle shaped version will not be a direct fit but wheres the fun in that .
it might be hard to tell in my picture but my bike has been totaly butchered so even if i get the right fairings they will take just as much work as i will need to make a new frame for the fairing to sit on .

i thought mine was a wg1 because it is stamped both on the engine and frame ...
i have managed to find some fairings localy but thay are not cheap in my book . im looking at about 415 USD for top and front sides they are off a 3tj

thanks again !!!

LBP,

The bodywork from my bike would be a direct fit to your bike. The lowers are of exactly the same mold as what came on your bike originally (in fact, the 3HE 600 lowers carry the 3EN prefix in the part number). The upper would be fairly easy to make work. You would have two options for that:

1 - Find yourself a 3HE 600 single-lamp upper stay (as would be found on my bike). The only thing you would likely need to do here is relocate the mounting bracket to the center of the stay. The reason for this is that the mounting boss on the 600 frame is off-center of the head-tube. On the 400s, this mounting boss is centered.

2 - Find yourself a 3EN2 400 upper stay. Since the mold for the 3EN2 upper fairing is more or less the same as the single lamp 3HE 600 upper (only difference being the headlamp cutouts), my guess is you wouldn't have to do much to make it work for you and may even be a direct fit.

Either solution is worth investigating. I'm building a 1WG 400 framed hybrid that will have 3HE 600 dual-lamp bodywork. After the acquisition of a 3EN1 upper fairing stay, the body work fits as if it were on the bike from the factory. The point of that was merely to illustrate that with some educated parts swapping, bodywork between these particular bikes is fairly easy.

If you DO decide to go with 3TJ bodywork, be prepared to do a bit more in terms of fabricating, cutting, etc.

Hop that helps.
