Oil leek from head gasket?

Hi I hope someone can help I have a 1990 fzr600 and its leaking oil from what looks to be the head gasket at the front. Although there is no pressurising in the water and no creamy oil, does this sound like the head gasket? I read somewhere it could be the seals around the spark plug holes and oil is leaking through the tiny drain holes making it look like the head gasket is leaking? Has anyone ever had this as I don't want to go through an expensive head gasket change for it to make no differance. Any help much appreciated.

no oil passes thru the head/cylinder joint under pressure. the only place oil touches the head gasket is in the cam chain gallery as drainback.

It is most likely that your cam cover gasket is the leaker

thanks for the info, that's good news, so in a nut shell it cant be a head gasket as it is just oil??? Odd how it looks so much like it coming out of there?
thanks again,

Hi again
I might be being a bit thick but I took the bike for a run today and the oil is coming from below the exhausts the rocker cover and the alloy around it is clean. Where else could the leak be coming from?.
Appreciate any advice
Thanks.

Just had another proper look and the oil is coming from both inner front head bolts? Would it help if I just torqued them up??
Thanks again

yeah give it a shot, the inner head bolts could be allowing the drainback oil to seep out. Be kinda amazing that you have no combustion bypass to the crankcase in that case tho.

Be worth a leakdown test to ensure that is not happening
