Here is my thoughts on weight reducing batteries. Unless you are as fit as a MotoGP rider, then the battery is the least of the problem.

If people are like me, 7 pounds could easily peel off my arse... and is much cheaper. ha!

Lol, very true. I was just looking around at smaller batteries since I will be running a smaller tail and need to relocate the battery. So I was wondering if anyone had any experience running a 4cell a123 pack, or if something along the lines of an 8cell would be better. Not so much worried about weight as overall size.

4 cell will not be enough juice to run the bike. You'll need the 8 cell. Now here's my 2 cents... Sure the 8 cell is 100 bucks, but you can get a much nicer battery for 60-70 more that's made in the states and comes with a 3 year warranty. Also it's made by a racer instead of an rc car manufacturer.

You just have to pm me! I sell antigravity batteries. A bit more than ballistic but anti gives you a 2 year warranty for racing where ballistic wont warranty it for racing.

I'll check out tyga. I saw what I believed to be a rvf 125 or 250 today. Had a sssa but the tire was max a 110. Couldn't find any identifying marks on it though. I have some pictures ill post of it when I get back.

Speaking of tyga that is where I sourced the tail I am going to try and use on my fzr. http://tyga-performance.com/site/popup_ ... 72&invis=2 On the battery I was just wondering what the general thought was on them. I have not decided what battery I will go with yet, it partly depends on how everything fits and how much space I have to work with.

Matt Patterson one of the Owners of Tyga hangs out on an email list for the engine developers / tinkerers I read on a daily basis when possible.

One thing i learned from buying from them is that multiples purchases of one item get a good discount (I bought 5 mini brake reservoirs for a couple of my project bikes + one for a mate got a refund on the postage plus 15% discount or something not sure of figure it was 3 years ago. )
