front end cost 1200 rear end cost 600...so would it be better to sell it all or part it out?

Parts. Unless you find someone who is really into modified bikes or was going to do the same thing you did. Most people don't want to mess with someone elses projects. But there are those out there that love modified equipment.

I just insured my hybrid and despite everything that is done with it, they will only value it at $2200. Youll never get what you put into it. And selling is really unsatifying. Im actually building a second hybrid to give as a gift. I will get more enjoyment and satisfaction giving it away to someone who will appreciate it than to try and sell it to someone that will beat on it or not appreciate all the work into it. Youre bike is running now as is right? Sell off your extra parts and keep riding it!

Get Progressive. They insured my bike for 2K and cover 3K of upgrades and aftermarket parts because I added comprehensive.

^^^ edited for effect. I AGREE. Agreed

Which is why I've never sold mine and probably never will. Watching some half-wit ride off with your bike, or even if he's not a half-wit, really would suck major balls in my opinion. I've lost enough girlfriends over the years, got my heart broken enough, I'll be God-damned if my bikes are leaving me.

:deal:

Obviously I have an emotional attachment to my bikes, maybe you don't. IDK

Im the same way. Ill never get rid of my hybrid. And I can never sell my Jeep either for the same reason. I put so much of myself into my projects, its more than just parts cobbled together. In fact, Ive even sacrificed relationships because of them. There is heart and dedication and thats hard to sell.

I can't exactly say the same but I sure have a lot of memories of riding places on my FZR, a lot of fun riding trails and jumping at tracks with the YZ250F, and am trying to enjoy the Honda as much as possible lately also. Plus most other bikes I don't find as comfortable as these, so I can't see selling them and trying to buy something else I'd be uncomfortable on. Of course if I was younger I might feel different.

I can't sell any of my modified rides either. I get very attached. Hell I dont like to sell parts that I have laying around either.

Yam ML and the rest reading this thread,

These DIY bikes are our brain children and as such we would hate to see them gone forever or ruined by some mutt. I sold " Patriot" on when I left the west indies to a brit who said he would stay in touch he and the bike have vanished into the mists of time.

The pride we put in our work pays off SEE:- bike night thread

need I say more ?

I have my bike on CL for 2700 and not near the beneficial mods abs has mines more for show then go but I honestly feel the work n time is priceless! I would rather keep it unless you don't like the way it rides now. My airtech front and rear fenders to me are like prized possesions but for the right price anthing can be bought! I see fzrs from 400-500 all the way to the 4or5 grand
